Dhul Hijjah is the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar, and one of the holiest periods in Islam. The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are considered among the most sacred and spiritually rewarding. During this time, Muslims around the world increase acts of worship, prayer, and charity.
This Dhul Hijjah, you can donate using the form above or choose your preferred type of giving from our programs: Zakat, Sadaqah, or Sadaqah Jariyah. Your donation to any of these programs will benefit Palestine Refugees across our areas of operation, including Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon with life-saving emergency aid.
At this time, UNRWA does not operate a Qurbani or Udhiya program. However, you can still honor the spirit of Eid by giving Zakat or Sadaqah to support Palestine Refugee families with urgent essentials like food, water, and cash assistance.
Yes, UNRWA’s Zakat programme is Sharia-compliant, and has been endorsed by leading Islamic institutions, including Al-Azhar, the OIC’s International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Moreover, the programme follows a 100% Zakat distribution policy, whereby 100% of your Zakat contribution goes directly to Palestine Refugees in need.
