"I find happiness in every success story I have with my clients." For Najat, social work is more than a job – it is a calling. For the past 16 years, Najat's work as an UNRWA social worker in Jordan has helped change the lives of her Palestine refugees clients.
One such client, is Mohammed and his brothers. “Without UNRWA, my life and that of my three brothers would have been so different." exclaims Mohammed, 21. Since his parents’ divorce, he has been living in a house with his brothers. Najat regularly checks in on them, bringing them blankets when the temperature drops down in wintertime and assisting them with psychosocial counselling and support. “She is just like a mother to me,” says Mohammed, who is currently studying electrical engineering, “My life and my future are completely intertwined with UNRWA.
